  • I was approached by Facebook to create a music visualizer for the f8 Developer Conference.

The visualizer displays a live text feed for the event where attendees can post short messages via a website, iPhone, and SMS. The idea behind the project was to create a live Facebook "wall" for the event. The software ran in real time on a laptop; it took audio input from the live DJ and text feed off of the f8 feed database. The f8 music visualizer was made with Processing.

In addition to the software and website, table cards were designed, printed, and placed throughout the conference to promote f8 Feed.

  • The program is a music visualiser that responses to music frequency and beat. The tiles "bounce" depending on the frequency (the faster the music, the bigger the movement on the z-axis). The colors of the tiles respond to the beat (each time a beat is detected, the color hue advances slightly in the spectrum). When the user interacts with the tiles, the tiles are "energized" and this energized state is highlighted by the white glow and amplified movement. The energy of each tile fades over time. The user controls the program using a LED that is read by a camera. Built with Processing

Drinking water is a global problem composed of regional issues. This project seeks to address and solve each region’s issues both individually and with synergism. Developed nations have placed an unnecessary and fashionable standard on drinking water that far exceeds what defines safe and potable and also wastes money and resources on counterproductive differentiation. Meanwhile, developing countries often do not have sufficient resources to meet even basic standards of water cleanliness. By shifting investments to areas with insufficient resources, water can be redefined to a standard of cleanliness that all individuals can embrace and thrive on. Everyone should have the right and accessibility to clean drinking water, no matter who you are, or where you live.
